Anyone who is a believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and is committed to following a life in accordance with the Word of God is invited to join the New Partners Class. The main goal of this class is to explain what PT believes and to help you determine if this is the right church community for you. Our hope and prayer is that the class sessions will give you a foretaste of the PT community of faith. Completion of this class and its requirements will make you eligible to serve in a variety of ministries at PT.
Please note that the New Partners Class is not the same as a class for new believers. While new believers are certainly welcome to the New Partners Class, it is recommended that they enroll in the Christian Foundations Class at PT to receive an introduction to the Scriptures and the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith.
The New Partners Class runs three times during the academic year, each class involving five sessions of an hour and a half apiece. Sessions are usually held on Sunday mornings between worship services. Topics include doctrinal beliefs, values, and a brief history of PT. Fulfillment of the course requires that participants attend all sessions, shadow a ministry once, and complete a final written exercise to demonstrate what they have learned. At the culmination of the course, students and teachers enjoy a celebratory dinner together on the evening before the new partners are inducted in a ceremony during Sunday service.
All partnership candidates must have been water baptized following their acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, before being admitted as partners of Pentecostal Tabernacle. Opportunities for water baptism occur at PT on a quarterly basis, in coordination with the New Partner Class schedule. You may learn more about water baptism here. Registration for each class closes one week before the first session begins.
Applications received after that will be processed for the next class.
