Partnership at PT

We believe that building community with other believers is central to growing and maintaining a healthy Christian life. Whether you are a neighbor seeking a permanent congregation or a visitor looking for a short-term connection to a church in the Boston area, we invite you to consider partnership. We consider our members “partners” because they are true stakeholders in our church.

Who should join this class?

Anyone who is a believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and is committed to following a life in accordance with the Word of God is invited to join the New Partners Track. The main goal of this program is to explain what PT believes and to help you determine if this is the right church community for you. Our hope and prayer is that the sessions will give you a foretaste of the PT community of faith. Completion of this track and its requirements will make you eligible to serve in a variety of ministries at PT.

What is the Goal of this class?

The purpose of this class is to provide an environment that will allow you to engage with others as you learn about our church, our mission and goals for our community, and the various ways to become involved in our congregation. Completing this class is also the first step toward serving in many of the ministries at PT.

What is required to complete this class?

The Partnership Track consists of two teaching sessions, each lasting for two hours, and a “Meet and Greet” Session. These sessions run consecutively during the calendar year. Topics include doctrinal beliefs, values, and a brief history of PT. Fulfillment of the course requires that participants attend all sessions including the “Meet and Greet”. Quarterly induction ceremonies are conducted during Sunday service and new partners are required to attend the next induction ceremony upon completion of the track.

What else is required for partnership?

All partnership candidates must have been water baptized following their acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, before being admitted as partners of Pentecostal Tabernacle. Opportunities for water baptism occur at PT on a quarterly basis.
