Day 28 | Hope In Jesus

David & Dedre Adeyemi

Again Isaiah says, “There shall be a root of Jesse, He who arises to rule [as King] over the Gentiles, In Him shall the Gentiles hope.” May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.
Romans 15:12-13 (AMP)

As life goes on and we as a people try to keep up with it, if we’re not careful, discouragement can creep in. This can happen when goals aren’t reached at a specific time, relationships might be growing apart, and other major life changes can take place. These events can cause one to lose hope. Thankfully, there is an answer and remedy for this and His name is Jesus.

We can remain hopeful and confident that God will fulfill every promise He’s given to us. When life says otherwise we’re reminded that Jesus has risen to rule as King and in Him we have hope. Isaiah spoke about a descendant of Jesse who will arise and rule as King. That descendant is Jesus Christ. He is risen!

Reflection: Has life weighed you down so much until you’ve lost hope?

Confession: My heart is at peace because I have hope in Christ.
